Many water treatment technologies that perform well at lab and pilot scale never make it to commercial deployment — not because the science is wrong, but because the developer lacks the engineering, operational, and market-access capability to bridge the gap to field-ready commercial product. GWTS partners with technology developers to close that gap: building commercial-scale systems around proven core technology, and connecting that technology to the industrial end users who need it.

We are not a passive licensing intermediary. Our commercialization partnerships involve direct engineering collaboration — adapting lab-proven processes to the realities of Alberta oil sands and industrial feedwater, designing the commercial-scale skid or system architecture, and, where appropriate, taking on direct delivery and operational responsibility alongside the technology developer.
